Health Centre [HC] provides basic health-care facilities to the entire campus community which includes faculties, students and employees and their family members. HC conducts regular OPD sessions and provides round the clock emergency medical and ambulance services. It has a chemist shop and pathology lab to meet the medical needs of patients. All the facilities to the campus community are available free of cost and one can access the services through the health booklet that is issued to all campus residents. Apart from regular OPD services, Health Center also provides weekly Speciality treatments.. Moreover, HC has tie up with various Hospitals present outside the campus. Any referral to outside hospitals is reimbursable, provided proper bills and slips are submitted to HC office in time. See here.

  4. Radiology
  5. Physiotherapy
  6. Miscellaneous - Baby Clinic, Routine Dressing, Injections

Students and faculty members are eligible for priority OPD services, provided they register before 9:30 am in morning or before 6:00 pm in evening. However, there are no priority services on Saturdays and Sundays. Registration for Speciality clinics is done only through referrals of regular OPD doctors.

HC has enough capacity to deal with health problems of campus residents (about 30 beds) and often takes initiative to spread awareness among campus residents about various communicable diseases.

So, by ensuring the good health of campus residents, it acts as the back-bone for a technical institute like us(IITK) and helps it to prosper.
